Liverpool has always been one of my favorite cities to visit for shopping and eating out, I love the contrast between the old docks and the modern Liverpool one, so when Ibis Styles asked if I wanted to come to stay at their hotel in the city center I jumped at the chance.
The hotel is situated about a five-minute walk from the entrance to Liverpool one, a ten-minute walk from Albert Dock and about a minute walk from the famous Cavern Club. Which is why the decor is all about The Beatles, so if you were a fan you would love exploring the 60’s style of the hotel, we actually stayed in The Lucy room, which was lovely and spacious with lots of diamonds and a view of the Liver building. They gifted us with balloons and macaroons on our arrival which made us feel very special.
When we arrived the hotel staff were so friendly, there was no reception desk like other hotels. Instead, you were checked in via an iPad which was a lot more contemporary feeling. The reception area was gorgeous with complimentary tea/ coffee machines, croissants and fruit to help yourself to all day, They also have an area where they serve continental breakfast in the morning which is included in your breakfast price ( who doesn’t love that?)
The hotel is next to a 24-hour car park, which you can get reduced to just £8 via the hotel ( A bargain for city center parking) We loved this hotel and couldn’t fault it in any way.
