How to whiten your teeth at home

With my wedding coming up in just seven months (eek) I wanted to start my teeth whitening journey. My teeth aren’t bad but life and coffee drinking has taken its toll, and I want them to look their whitest for the big day. I recently discovered Nano by WhiteWash laboratories. Who has a vast range of teeth whitening products available depending on if you like strips, toothpaste, floss, mouthwash? The choice is endless. The field is formulated by dentists which is reassuring and excellent to know. You can shop the full range on their store, Boots and even Amazon.

Intensive whitening strips

The first product I tried was the whitening strips. I am a massive fan of a whitening strip as they are easy to use and don’t require much effort. These are £24.95 and are a two-week whitening course. I have been trying to save these for the weeks before the wedding, but it’s a struggle. With a unique oxidising whitening ingredient and approved safe by dentists these are a great choice if you are looking for an intensive course. I also liked that these are mint flavour, as often whitening strips don’t have a taste or the character is not very pleasant.

Nano N1 Sonic toothbrush

The product I was most excited to try before. We are all aware of the benefits of using an electric toothbrush in favour of a standard one. The toothbrush is £124.99 and comes beautifully packaged, you even get its own carry case which makes it great for travel, and I love the white and gold. The website states “Advanced sonic technology provide a powerful dynamic cleaning action that helps to keep teeth clean and gums healthy by removing plaque.” The toothbrush is designed to remove stains effectively. First impressions are great; the toothbrush also makes virtually no noise, you know how some electric toothbrushes are so noisy you struggle to use them at night, this isn’t the case with this one.

Whitening regime

This bundle is essentially a beginner’s guide to teeth whitening. It has an RRP of £33.83 in which you get a whitening toothbrush, whitening floss, a whitening mouthwash and whitening toothpaste. The products come beautifully packaged in a box so would make a great gift even for someone who likes to look after their appearance and their teeth. I love the floss as it’s great for targeting those stains between your teeth, especially if they are close together and you find these areas hard to reach with a toothbrush.

I also think a toothpaste works really well for whitening, and I will report back on this in a few weeks, however, so far my boyfriend even commentated on how white my teeth look ( he never notices anything about me!), so I must be doing something right. I also love how fresh and clean this toothpaste and mouthwash leaves you feeling. I have tried whitening kinds of toothpaste in the past that have not left me feeling fresh and ready for the day.
