An enchanted escape to the Isle of Wight

Last weekend we drove down to Southampton to board the ferry over to the Isle of Wight. We are stopping at Ikea on the way! We travelled over on the Red Funnel ferry which was incredibly easy and a great way to visit if you wish to take your car over to the Island.

We stayed at The Enchanted Manor B&B in Ventnor. The B&B is pretty much in the middle of nowhere and looks like you are stepping into a fairytale. Most of the rooms have baths and four poster beds and are very spacious. The owner Natasha cannot do enough for you and is always available to give you any recommendations. Breakfast is delicious and had a wide range of cooked items plus pastries and cereals. The hotel has a games room, a pool table and even a hot tub if you are visiting in the summer months.

It is a stone’s throw walk to Catherine’s lighthouse which has stunning sea views. There is also a lovely pub called The Buddles Inn which is delicious and so reminded me of the pub in The Holiday. You can get around the whole island in a day, and I must admit the weather at this time of the year did affect our trip as we were stuck in the B & B due to the heavy snowfall. We visited Osborne House ( Which was beautiful and a great place to walk around and take in the history) There are also a lot of National Trust locations on the Island which you can visit. The views cannot be faulted, they are stunning, and with every turn, you drive a new beautiful view with impressive cliffs.

We vlogged our time on the Isle of the Wight so you can watch that here.

The trip was gifted, but all thoughts are my own.
