Five fashion trends I am loving for 2020.

Hello and Happy February. You have no idea how happy and relieved I am that January is over and now we can move on with the better 11 months of the year. My thoughts have now turned to Spring, and I am very excited to ditch the winter coat and tights and put on some pastels. Most of these trends are super easy to follow, and you probably have the items lurking at the back of your wardrobe.

  1. Puffed Sleeves

Puffed sleeves started to make their way back on the shelves on dresses and blouses at the end of last year, but are set to be even bigger this year. I really can’t get enough of this look and think it turns the standard dress, ever so slightly formal.

2. Trench coats

A staple for spring most years and one I don’t think will ever go away. The classic trench is a must-have in your wardrobe for those rainy days. I opt for a pink trench to enhance the feminine aspects.

3. BRODERIE ANGLAISE

It’s back for 2020, and I am so excited. A trend which saw me through spring and summer last year and one which looks perfect on a white, summer dress. This year it is back with a twist, more intricate patterns and irregular embroidery. It’s had a little ramp up this year to give it a new sexy feel.

4. Torso ruching.

Ruching is often found around the neck or wrists on dresses, but this year it is going to be around your stomach. It’s going to give simple dresses a unique look and add’s detail to otherwise merely items. I think it’s going to make any piece look a little more luxury.

5. Prints are back

Floral prints, polka dots and clashing colours are all coming back more prominent than ever in 2020. I am a massive fan of the red and pink floral, and I am so glad it’s sticking around for another year.
